Pacific Catalina - The Catalina Flying Boat in New Zealand Service, covers the Second World War and postwar operation of Catalina flying boats by the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

The RNZAF operated 56 Catalinas in the Pacific theatre that served with No. 3 Operational Training Unit and Nos. 5 and 6 Squadrons. Operationally, the Catalinas were effectively under US Navy command and operated from locations such as Fiji and the Solomons.

Another rarely mentioned New Zealand flying boat unit was No. 490 Squadron, RAF, the served in West Africa.

The book is profusely illustrated with period photos and colour profiles, and includes a list of individual aircraft histories. Two appendices detail colour schemes, while postwar operations and survivors are also discussed.
